A Medicare Supplement plan with Aetna is a secondary insurance to your Medicare that helps limit your out of pocket costs. Aetna offers plans A, B, F, G and N. Their most popular Medicare Supplement plans are Plan G and Plan N. Both plan G and plan N offer the same coverage for Medicare Parts A and B deductibles and coinsurance. Also Skilled nursing and rehab facility stays, hospice care, and foreign travel emergency. With Plan G and Plan N you’ll be responsible to pay the annual Medicare Part B deductible. This deductible re-sets every January and it can change from year to year. With Plan G, once you meet this deductible for the year, you have 100% coverage for the remainder of the year. Another co –pay you could have with Plan N is if you go to the Emergency room, then you could have up to a $50 co-pay. But, If you’re admitted as an inpatient to the hospital, the co-pay is waived. One other benefit that Plan N doesn’t cover is Part B Excess Charges. Excess Charges are rare and we don’t see this happen very often. If you see doctors that accept Medicare Assignment, or Medicare as payment in full, then you won’t have to worry about Excess Charges. I talk about Excess Charges in another video, and I’ll link that up above. Benefits Of Aetna Medicare Supplement Plans
