Juicy Boneless Pork Ribs Recipe

There's not a lot of low carb pork recipes on the site. So I'm adding a really simple one for boneless spare ribs!

It's something that can be used as a main dish, an appetizer, or a salad topping.

To cut back on overeating, I've started to replace breakfast and an occasional lunch with a low carb protein shake which has helped. And the meals that I do eat consist mainly of a green salad topped with meat.

These easy baked pork ribs are something I made for a quick meal one night and they made a great salad topping for lunch the next day by slicing them into thin bite-size pieces.

I also sliced up a few of the baked boneless pork ribs to put into a vegetable stir fry the next day. My husband loved the stir fry! I just cooked the pork slices with a bag of frozen stir fry mix and some soy sauce seasoning.

Ingredients in Baked Boneless Ribs

There are very few ingredients in these boneless ribs. You probably already have just about all of them in your spice cabinet already!

To make these ribs, this is all you need:

  • Boneless Pork Ribs - Boneless country style pork ribs are the best option here. There are other pork cuts you can get away with like cubed pork shoulder, but this is my favorite option.
  • Garlic Powder
  • Onion Powder
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Kitchen Tools Used

  • Baking Sheet Pan - The pork is cooked on a rimmed baking pan. You could also use a shallow baking dish if its large enough for all your ribs
  • Oil Spray Bottle - Spraying with a little cooking oil adds flavor and helps prevent sticking.

Cooking Tips

  • If you use garlic salt instead of garlic powder, don't use any extra salt. You can also use fresh garlic instead of garlic powder - it will give it a lot more flavor.
  • My baking times only work for boneless country style pork ribs. If you use bone-in ribs, you'll have to adjust the cooking time.

Other Spices To Try On Ribs

Garlic, onion, salt, and pepper are all easy spices that taste amazing on pork, but don't stop there. Experiment with other spices that you enjoy!

  • Marinate the ribs in sugar-free barbecue sauce and then bake them. The flavor is outstanding.
  • Another idea is to mix together some low-sodium soy sauce and ginger. This will make your ribs taste like your favorite Asian food.
  • If you want your pork ribs to have a little spice, sprinkle some paprika and red pepper flakes on them.

How To Cook Boneless Pork Ribs

There are lots of ways to cook pork ribs. My favorite way is to use the slow cooker because it makes the meat so tender. When I use regular ribs, the meat just falls off the bone.

But, this time around, I wanted to try baking some boneless ribs.

How To Bake Boneless Pork Ribs

Today, I'm sharing how to cook country style ribs in the oven and it's super easy.

You just spray or line a baking sheet, place the pork ribs on the prepared pan, season, then bake.

The boneless spare ribs should be fully cooked in about 25 to 30 minutes. The temperature to bake them at is 350°F. You may want to check the meat with a thermometer to ensure it's done.

How To Serve Baked Pork Ribs

Now that you know how to cook boneless pork ribs in the oven, how will you serve them? As an appetizer, main dish, or salad topper?

If you can't decide, make up a big batch to do all three! That's the way I like to do it.

With this one recipe, you can have several different meals just from the leftovers. So it's a great item to include in your meal plan.

Boneless Pork Ribs Main Course

My favorite way to serve boneless baked pork ribs is as the main course.

You can serve the meat with any low carb vegetable. Broccoli and green beans are my family's favorites. But, adding some cheesy zucchini gratin will make an extra special meal.

I also love to cut these up and top them over a salad. It will turn your regular greens into a great meal.

If using these on a salad, just watch the dressing for any sneaky carbs. I top my salads of with oil and vinegar but, sometimes I like to use a creamy blue cheese dressing or a low carb ranch dressing.

Boneless Ribs Appetizer

We have also used this baked boneless country style ribs recipe as an appetizer. Sometimes, we slice them into strips and put them on skewers.

When serving as an appetizer, they are fantastic paired with a keto cheese sauce or a low carb barbeque sauce for dipping. Some may even enjoy a sweet or spicy dip instead!

Frequently Asked Questions About Baked Boneless Ribs

The entire recipe is at the bottom of this post, but first, I have a few questions I wanted to answer.

At What Temperature Is Pork Fully Cooked?

Pork should be cooked until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F. This goes for anything from the country style ribs I use here, to pork chops, to pork loin.

Should Your Wrap Ribs In Foil When You Bake Them?

This method is really for ribs with bones. It's not necessary for boneless ribs. It speeds up the cooking process by breaking down the connective tissue around the bone, while making sure they stay tender.

Can You Use Beef Ribs Instead?

Yes, you can use boneless beef ribs or pork ribs. Either one works!

If you cook beef ribs, the internal temperature only has to reach about 135°F before it is fully cooked.

Should You Boil Ribs Before Baking Them?

This method is known to tenderize the ribs even more, however, it is not necessary. My recipe leaves you with very tender ribs, even without boiling them.
