So far I love it. It does a great job removing lint and hair. It’s quiet as long as you remember to remove the shipping bolts🤦🏻‍♀️. It’s also made life so much easier not having to switch the clothes back and forth. Would by again!

First off, ordered this from Appliance Supply. The communication and shipping speed was excellent -- Duluth MN to Indianapolis IN in 5 days. Dropped off in my garage in perfect shape.

On to the washer/dryer combo itself. I used this to replace a 13 year old LG washer and dryer pair because I really could use the additional space and any energy savings would be appreciated. I was (and to a point am still) apprehensive because I have 3 dogs (including a German Shepherd) and 2 cats and get to deal with all of their hair, particularly on the cover sheets on the bed. So far it seem to be handling the pet hair well although I am only 5 loads in and hair needs to be removed from the rubber door seal after drying. That is not difficult so far so I have no complaints at this time.

This thing is easy to set up. The longest amount of time was spent leveling it. There is no auto leveling in place so you will have to do it manually. That said, I had it unboxed, installed, connected, and in use in about an hour. Just pre-read the instructions, make sure you remove all 4 shipping bolts, ensure that you're level, and you should have no problems.

A wash on the normal cycle takes about 30 minutes to complete. If you do a speed wash, it is about 15 minutes depending on the soil level selected. Drying on the Turbo Dry cycle is about 2 to 2.5 hours for a weeks worth of clothes for one person, about 3 hours for 2 full sets of bath towels. Everything comes out dry and after folding has been as wrinkle free as my previous dryer.

This thing is quiet. It sits around the corner from the bedroom and it cannot be heard in there even with doors open and at night and that includes the spin cycle. I have to check on it to make sure its running.

Negatives:
- The ThinQ setup on my phone still has not set up properly. So, to date, that is been of no use. I'll try again before I start to wash more loads but it has not worked as advertised so far.
- The detergent drawer feels extremely cheap for lack of a better word. The one on my old washer felt much heftier and more solid. You do get four compartments in it however -- pre-wash, wash, bleach, and softener.
- The user's guide that comes with it is very terse on the settings so you just kind of have to play with them hoping you get what you want. Since most of my washing is done on the normal setting with Turbo dry that is what I do but I'm not sure what the difference between turbo dry and normal dry is for instance. Or how selecting Turbo Wash impacts the wash cycle.

Overall, on limited experience, this has been a good purchase. It does what I want, in a small space, at a decent price, and while not as fast at drying as what I used to have, is nowhere near as slow as I had feared. It is so quiet that I can toss a load in before going to bed and I will not be kept up. My primary concern is how the amount of pet hair I pulled out of my old dryer will work on this one but I won't know for a few months.

OM Goodness, I don't know where to start... this washer/dryer combo unit is great! It changes my life for the better.
I put in dirty clothes and ~<4 hours later I take out dry, clean clothes!
It uses less electricity and way less water than my 10 year old, smaller name brand front loader that it replaced. AND... it holds 30-40% more clothes!
It does vent very warm humid air into the house but that's not a problem in my laundry room; it doesn't vent the volume of air a conventional dryer does so it is not an issue for me.
Wash loads are done in a THIRD LESS (~40 minutes) time than my former machine!!... and I don't need to remember to move the clothes to the dryer at the end of the cycle!
It is very quite and does not vibrate.
It takes up less space than my former washer and dryer units and cost less! This machine is a tremendous improvement in the ancient technology of washing and drying clothes.
I can't say enough good about it, I recommend it to everyone and I would buy it again.

2 negatives that aren't really;
1) The instruction manual is very limited, it really really needs to explain what all the settings mean and how to use the dry cycles more clearly. But I just use normal and it works great!
2) I really really wish it came in white! Metallic Gunmetal Gray is not the color I think of when I think about appliances or washing clothes!

After waiting several weeks to get this all in one washer dryer it finally arrived. I like the fact that it only takes up the space of a regular washer instead of the normal five feet for a washer and dryer. I read other people complain about it not drying the clothes. I don't understand why because my clothes are always dry when I take them out. This machine dose not have a traditional lint trap but it dose collect lint and dog hair along the rubber gasket at the front by the door. Basically you just need to wipe it out after each load which only takes a few seconds. There is a door at the bottom of the unit that also needs to be cleaned out regularly if you have dogs like me because some of the dog hair will go down the drain and be caught in the trap at the bottom and if you don't clean it then it will not allow the washer to drain properly. I had this happen once when I first got the machine. It took me a few minutes to figure out that the OE flashing meant the drain was clogged. Mine was so clogged I had to get a wooden skew and use it to pull out the excess hair that had gotten behind the plug you pull out. When you pull out the plug to clean it there will be a small amount of water that leaks out onto the floor so you need to either install a drain pan under the washer or put down a towel every time you clean it out. I just use a towel and that works pretty good but I kind of wish there was a tray under it to catch that water so it doesn't get on the floor if I forget the towel. I really like the washer dryer combo because you do not have to soaking wet clothes out of one machine to put them into a dryer because this machine washes and dries the clothes all in one unit. This is a great thing because it saves energy since I never forget to dry the clothes therefore i do not have to rewash loads that sat overnight and have a musty smell. Now to be fair it dose take about 4 to 5 hours to wash and dry them for one load. The machine is very efficient and dose not take as much laundry soap or fabric softener as the traditional washer. The machine dose not require a vent which means you don't need to cut a hole for one and my bathroom stays a little warmer on winter nights when i am running a load. It also plugs into a 110 outlet so no special dryer plug is needed. You do not have to use the dry feature and some of the wash cycles do not have a drying mode so you need to look through the manual to figure out which ones have a dry mode. I have not used all of the features of this machine yet since I have only had it about four months but so far I am loving it. As far as power consumption it seems to use about 3.3kw per load which is not bad considering that is for washing and drying and it dose not seem to use all that much water compared to a traditional washer but I have no real way of measuring that aspect of it right now. Overall I would highly recommend it although it is a little bit on the expensive side at 1600 but still very worth it to me.

What is ventless drying on LG washer dryer combos?

Ventless Drying LG's all-in-one washer/dryers use ventless condensing to dry your clothes without the need for external venting.

Do all

Yes, almost every combo washer dryer unit on the market today is designed to function without the need of an air vent. This is made possible by the fact that a ventless combo unit employs a condensation drying process instead of the traditional flow through method found in a standard dryer.

How does an all

In a ventless unit, wet clothes start in a drum. As the drum spins, the heated air inside takes up moisture. The moisture-laden air is circulated through the cooled condensing chamber where the moisture condenses back into liquid and leaves the unit by the water drainage tube.

How do all

Most all-in-one washer/dryers are designed as a ventless washer/dryer combo, so there is no need to provide for external dryer venting. The dryer function provides non-vented condenser drying, which is essentially a hot-air vacuum.
