How to install a casement window air conditioner video

Although most portable air conditioners come with a traditional window kit, you can absolutely fabricate an insert to fit into the casement window allowing you to vent your portable air conditioner. We recommend using Plexiglas; however any type of material that will keep the hot air out and the cold air in will work.

Most window ACs require a tilt of about 2 to 3 degrees to drain properly. This means that the back of the AC needs to be about ½” lower than the front. The tilt is needed to keep condensation draining out of the back of the window AC unit.
