"Unable to cancel despite having Covid." Overall Score1.0/ 5 I was diagnosed with Covid 8 days prior to check in. Hotel would NOT refund my money even though I'd paid in full. I understand Hotel policy, but it was not my idea to get Covid nor could I control WHEN I got it. I also have Leukemia so I struggle to get just one short vacation in each summer. I spent $700 on this brief hotel stay and being retired, I'm on a strict budget with limited access to ANY spending for recreational activities. I believe there are exceptions to EVERY rule/policy and this should be an exception. Unless you're living with Cancer and all the limitations put on you, it's difficult to understand but it's also a hard life and I very much look forward to ANY activity that is for enjoyment. The hotel, I'm fairly certain, could have rented my room out to other guests and double what they made on that room. The State of Missouri puts these restrictions on anyone with a positive Covid test not me. I cannot explain how disappointed and upset I was to not be given a refund for being sick. $700 is a LOT of money to me. I don't know when I would be able to travel again but would accept a voucher for a date in the future. I was, SO, looking forward to staying at your Hotel. I'm not sure where to go from here but was advised to contact the Attorney General's Office. Michelle W. I found the room satisfactory, however there was no water in the room as usual and very few towels. Also there was no shampoo or conditioner only lotion in the bathroom. "Incompetence by reservation staff led to this review." Overall Score1.0/ 5 So some idiots made a reservation by phone (who the hell does that?!) and they either provided the wrong email address or the idiot on the phone typed it wrong. And then no one bothered to actually verify the email was correct. So a complete stranger got all these confirmation emails and a chance to submit a review. Well, you are incompetent fools who shouldn't be allowed access to technology. Learn to confirm email addresses before you blast strangers with unwanted emails. Steve T.
