    Shocked at the performance!

I am pleased with my purchase thus far. I've used it multiple times and was shocked at what my old sweeper wasn't sucking up! In fact allergies seem to be better than with the old sweeper! I'm hoping to continue enjoying the performance and cleaner carpets!!

BISSELL PowerLifter Pet Upright Vacuum Cleaner - Black/Purple (2260)

Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on October 8, 2015

First, I didn't buy it from Amazon, and I usually try because Amazon has the best service, But the Big Box store (wm) had these in a bundle with a stick Bissell for $90 for both.
I have a nice vacuum, but it weighs a ton, is clunky to use, and takes up a lot of space. It's going to Goodwill.
I wanted no bag to deal with, a narrow brush head to get under chairs and furniture, light weight, and good suction. I'd have preferred a motor on the brush head, but I'm not sure why.
I thought about a Shark Navigator, but this was a better value...if it lasts.

First the Pro. Today is the first day, so longevity might have to be considered later. Assembly was easy. It's two parts, the body and the handle. If you comprehend above a third grade level, you don't need the instructions. Plug the handle onto the vacuum and put the two screws (attached to the handle) into the two screw holes, tighten a bit. You're done. It came with a Febreeze filter, so I swapped the stock with the smelly one. Okay, I looked at the instructions, but if you remove the dirt container, the filter is laying right there. Not rocket science.
The cord is 30' long, more later.
The hose goes from one side across the top into clips and down into the brush head. (easy) I know some say it's too short, but if you stretch it a bit and clip it in , then it won't want to pull out of the brush head.
You're done.
There are two smallish foot pedals; a grey one to allow the unit to tip back, and a red one to start and stop the motor.
It does have a lot of suction. I tried it on a lambs wool rug that the dog got hair on, and it was too much, it tried to eat the rug. I had to shut it off. (I'll try tomorrow with the pet hair tool.)
Back to floors. It has a lever to adjust height from bare floor to thick carpet, (not 4" long lamb's wool though) I tried both and it worked great.
Onboard is a short extension and a crevice tool. I hope they fit the standard 1 1/4" hose stuff because they're kinda short alone.
To use the hose, you just pull it out of the brush head.
It comes with two pet hair attachments, I haven't tried. I'll come back and add more, but other vacuums don't offer this feature.

Cons.
Pulling the hose out of the brush head is not easy, especially bent over on the floor. It's actually easier to pick the whole thing up and do it at waist level.
My other nit pick is the cord exits at the floor level. I always hold the cord so I can move it away from being run over, so I looped the cord through the handle, but I just gave up 4' of cord. Maybe a clip on the handle would be nice.

All in all, a good value for under $100. Shop around.

Does a Bissell swivel have a belt?

The motor pulley of the vacuum cleaner makes the belt turn, which allows the brush roll to turn and do the cleaning. When the belt brakes, the vacuum cleaner is not useful anymore. Use this guide for to replace the belt of your Bissell Swivel Rewind Pet Vacuum.
