#3 Colter Bay – Where to Stay in Grand Teton National Park for Families

Right in the heart of the national park, Colter Bay is where you get to wake up to laid back vibes and stunning scenery every morning! Colter Bay Village is a large resort next to the lake, but there are plenty of great accommodation options within a couple of minutes drive of the area.

For families, Colter Bay is one of the most peaceful neighbourhoods in the area. Jackson and Teton Village can get very busy during the peak season, but visitor numbers in the park itself are limited, so you can enjoy the chill vibes year-round.

Family Hideaway near Colter Bay: Serene Cabin

Nestled in a horse farm just outside Colter Bay, this secluded gem is excellent for sampling a slice of local culture. Guests are given access to a couple of bicycles and six (!) kayaks.
