Day 1 – Arrival, Welcome to Udaipur!

Once you land in the Maharana Pratap Airport in Udaipur, you would have to take your pre-booked cab or an Ola waiting right outside. The airport is located near Dabok which is easily about 22 kilometres from the city of Udaipur. Once you take a cab, you will have about an hour to look out the window and await the city you would enter. You can choose to stay near the Fateh Sagar Lake, in the city centre- Hiran Magri or even in the old city. Just relax and enjoy the rest of the day in your hotel. If you’re craving to step out, you could visit the Bada Bazar to satisfy the shopaholic in you and then go over to the Fateh Sagar Lake if you are stationed nearby. You can choose to spend some quality time around the iconic lake during the evening. I would recommend not doing much, as for the next 3 days you are in for a long stroll of romance.

Day 2 – A Day of Royalty and Romance: Visit the palace and lakes

Once you have a scrumptious breakfast, the second day of your 3 nights and 4 days around Udaipur is all about exploring the cultural heritage of this romantic city. Start your day with a bang and visit the architectural wonder of City Palace that is located on the banks of the Lake Pichola. This palace is very picturesque, it was brought to life with a mix of European and Chinese architecture by the Mewar Dynasty. You will move on next to the Jagdish Temple and Jag Mandir Palace located in the heart of the city. You will be visiting two of the serene lakes here in one day, Lake Pichola and Fateh Sagar lake as well. The second half of the day you will be doing something a little different. Day 4 – Feel the royal and heroic charm of Chittorgarh

Wake up and gear up after a light breakfast on your fourth day in the “Venice of the East” for an excursion to the city of Chittorgarh where you will spend the day sightseeing. Expanding to almost 700 acres, this fort is of significant importance to the history of Rajputs. You would be doing a small cluster of sightseeing here, starting with the Chittorgarh fort, you will then proceed to both Padmini and Rana Kumbha’s Palace, and then lastly look back at the legacy of the sacrifice made by the Rajput clan – Vijay Stambh. If you have a bit more energy you can even squeeze in some time to visit the Kalka Mata Temple. You will be spending your fourth and final day at the city of Chittorgarh taking a trip down the memory lane.
