Get added power and upgrade the look of your 2013+ Mazda CX5 with the CorkSport Power Series Axle Back Exhaust. With the release of the 2013 Mazda CX-5, Mazda had pushed the Kodo design language into new territories. Suddenly the market had a crossover vehicle with the handling and style of a Mazda. As a completely new vehicle the engineers at CorkSport were given free reign to design an axle back exhaust in the best way fitting to the graceful design of the CX-5. As always, the CorkSport Mazda CX5 exhaust is constructed from T-304 stainless steel and is TIG welded with precision laser cut flanges and features full mandrel bending to eliminate any possible flow restrictions.

The CorkSport Advantage:

  • Stainless Steel T304 construction with 90mm stainless tips for corrosion resistance and a clean stylish look.
  • Mandrel bent, true 60.5mm piping for increased flow and more power from your engine
  • Save 8lbs over the stock exhaust.
  • 7+ horsepower gain over the stock exhaust.
  • CorkSport Service and Support: Receive a 2 year warranty, full color installation instructions, all of the needed installation hardware and knowledgeable telephone support

The CX5 Axle Back Exhaust will only work with gas/petrol models. It will not work on diesel models.

Disclaimer: NVH (noise, vibration and harshness) in the cabin of your vehicle will be slightly increased by the installation of this exhaust, especially on vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission.

Always wanted this since 2017 when I bought my CX-5 new. I’ve received this on 13OCT22 and installed it myself alone. Had a few issues but I managed to get it done. My honest opinion on this his axle back muffler. When I removed the muffler, I tested it to see the sound, it was loud and aggressive, which was cool, but when I installed muffler, it sounded nice but not loud which is good because I live in a nice area. Cold start is suitable, no muffler sounded stronger at cold start, if I wanted to keep the no muffler sound, I would have just custom a Y-pipe on. Driving highway speeds, it’s not loud, which is good but wish it would be louder when I stomp on the pedal. To me, this is probably the sound that Mazda should have given all CX-5 from the factory. The tips are much larger and fill in the bumper better and side view, I can see the tips a lot better then stock. Muffler is shiny but wished corksport would have done a different design and make it like those 350z, G35-37 etc when the pipes are at an angle so people can see the shiny muffler more and see the aggressive look but this design is cool to but wished it would have had a V design with the canisters. Would I recommend this, yeah, but disappointed that I got this at $599.00 ????

Sad day today. I moved into a deeded community and the next door neighbor told me that it's too loud in the morning (cold startup). Fortunately, I kept the stock exhaust, so I put it back on. I'll be trying to see it on Facebook Marketplace. My CX-5 sounds so wimpy again.. LOL

Took 15 minutes to install if that (have some muffler strap pliers to make it easy). Sounds great, not like some cracked out weed-whacker. I was told, and accepted, an exhaust that supposedly had a blemish. I gave up looking for the blem as this is all nice and shiny and looks great on the car. Was worried that it would be too loud for the wife during acceleration or downshifting but she likes it. Very happy.

I put this exhaust on my 2014 CX-5 in about 20 minutes by myself. I sprayed WD40 on the bolts and rubbers about 1/2 hour prior. You will need a 14 mm deep wall socket to take the old muffler off. The CorkSport muffler goes on with a 17 mm and a pair of pliers with no problem. I didn't have a torque wrench so I just didn't over tighten the 17 mm bolts. I'll check it in a couple of days again. The new system is not really loud at all when idling or when the car goes into 6th gear, but it sounds great when you get on it. I assume it'll be loud at cold startup, and then quiet down at idle. All in all, I'm very happy with it so far. Looking forward to the cold air intake later on.
