That would be for the exhaust cam on the passenger side. If memory serves correctly it's the one between the first two coil packs.

I've been trying to find a good picture in the manual but they're all pretty non specific. Maybe someone could snap a pic and post it but if not I may be able to get one tomorrow. The coil packs are what fires the spark plugs, there are four on each side (one for each cylinder) and are bolted right to the valve cover directly on top of the spark plugs. Changing the cam sensor will be a simple job as it's easy to get to and only held in with one bolt. You will just need a 10mm socket. I'll work on that pic for you.

I took this photo. This is a picture of what was between the first and second spark plugs starting from the front bumper as number 1. Is this the Camshaft Position Sensor B Bank 2

Yes that is the correct sensor and yes that is the coil next to it with the spark plug under it.

Thank you for your help. I have one more question. Are there two cam sensors one on each Bank 1 and Bank 2
and if so is it the same part for each Bank.

    Thanks

There is one sensor for each camshaft so a total of four. Two sensors per bank, one for the intake cam and one for the exhaust cam. As far as I know all four sensors are the same.

    Hello TOYMDT,

I replaced the sensor, I went to Auto zone and borrowed their Code reader and it came back to same code P0393.

The machine just plugs in then it says "done" then you have to take it back in and they plug it into computer and it reads in screen Code P0393. The machine does not clear it. My question is can I disconnect the negative and wait and does it reset the computer or do I have to find someone to clear it for me.

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

I always use a scan tool to clear codes because it's just easier for me as I use it all day long. It also sucks to listen to a customer complain all the radio stations and such are wiped out. For you disconnecting the battery should work and yes you can either push the horn or even turn on the headlight switch. When I really want to be sure all residual voltage is gone I disconnect both battery terminals and hold them together for a few minutes.

How do i know what senor to buy

What are the symptoms of a failed camshaft position sensor?

A glowing check engine light, stalling, poor acceleration and bad fuel mileage are all possible signs your camshaft position sensor may be failing. Gone are the days of carburetors and distributors, replaced by a variety of sensors that help a car's computer get the maximum performance out of the engine.

Where is camshaft sensor is Bank 1 sensor A?

The sensor is at the front right top of the engine beneath the large plastic engine cover. It is held on by a single T-30 torx bit machine screw. Please note that OBD-II diagnostic trouble codes, such as the code relied on to "advise" you, can NEVER be used to "directly" condemn parts.

    Where is P0340 located?

The P0340 code will be stored in the PCM if the signal between the camshaft position sensor and the PCM is disrupted. This will cause the Check Engine Light to come on. A P0340 error code indicates a problem with the Camshaft Position Sensor A circuit.
