I have an older Jeep Wrangler with a 4.0 liter engine that I inherited from my great uncle. This weekend, I’ll be changing the oil in it for the first time. What’s the best oil filter for a Jeep 4.0? Answer provided byThere are a LOT of fans of the Jeep 4.0 liter engine (which was sadly discontinued in 2006), so you’re lucky to get your hands on one! The best oil filter for a Jeep 4.0 is certainly up for debate. Not every Jeep enthusiast agrees, but here are some honorable mentions across various Jeep discussion boards.
Many Jeep owners swear by Wix and Napa Gold, but the other brands were also mentioned more than once. Now, be sure to consult your owner’s manual when selecting the precise filter size. Your model year, for example, will be important. Whether you’re shopping for oil filters or oil changes, comparison shopping is a must. The same is true of shopping for car insurance. Use to run a NAPA Gold 1459 which is 7" long. Last edited by EZEARL; 02-29-2020 at 09:30 PM. 02-29-2020, 09:29 PM::CF Moderator::
