Wix oil filter jeep 4.0

I have an older Jeep Wrangler with a 4.0 liter engine that I inherited from my great uncle. This weekend, I’ll be changing the oil in it for the first time. What’s the best oil filter for a Jeep 4.0?

Site says this Wix is a fit for XJ,

but it's clearly longer than my AC DElco PF13

Has anyone installed this Wix ?

It'll fit. That Wix is the same as a NAPA Gold 1085 which is for the 4.0 XJ.

I run a NAPA Gold 1515 which is 5.2" long. Use to run a NAPA Gold 1459 which is 7" long.

For 91 and later, the standard oil filter is a 1085, 51085.....

It looks like the Wix is actually the normal length,
and that AC Delco was shorter than usual.

Wix 1085 or 1515 and be done with it. Napa and O'Reilly's carry them.
It's not like the 4.0 NEEDS more oil capacity!!!!

I've always ran with the Wix for full synth. filter since I run the T6... never had any issues. And seems to be decent quality for the price.
