  • Medicaid LTSS Participants:

    On January 1, 2020, the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) made changes in the way that some medicines are covered. All Pennsylvania Medical Assistance (Medicaid) health plans were required to move to a statewide preferred drug list (PDL). If you have any questions about this change, please call Participant Services at 1-855-332-0729 (TTY 1-855-235-4976).

      Some medicines may be filled for a 90-day supply. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist if you have questions about your medicines.

    Effective January 1, 2020, the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) implemented a statewide preferred drug list (PDL). Keystone First CHC will follow the DHS PDL for drugs and drug classes that are included on the PDL. AmeriHealth Caritas PA CHC will also cover additional medications that are not on the DHS PDL as a part of our Supplemental Formulary.

Keystone First Community HealthChoices (CHC) is a mandatory managed care health plan for dual-eligible individuals and individuals with physical disabilities who qualify for the Department of Human Services' Community HealthChoices program.

Community HealthChoices (CHC) is a Medicaid managed care program that includes physical health benefits and long-term services and supports (LTSS). It is a mandatory managed care program for dually eligible (Medicare and Medicaid eligible) individuals and individuals with physical disabilities.

What is PA Community HealthChoices?

HealthChoices is the name of Pennsylvania's managed care programs for Medical Assistance recipients. Through managed care organizations, eligible individuals receive quality physical and behavioral medical care, as well as long-term supports.
