GET PAID WHILE YOU TRAIN WITH YOUR CDL

You’ve made the decision to become a truck driver, but now what? Our Class A CDL training program gives you real-world experience and prepares you for anything that could happen on the road. Our Prime Training Program offers new classes that start every week, and it’s never too late to find your calling.

HOW IT WORKS

YOUR GUIDE TO DRIVING WITH PRIME

Start your career as an Over the Road (OTR) truck driver here. Those who become a company driver for Prime are eligible for a number of benefits, including health insurance, a 401(k) and paid vacation.

Step Two

Attend orientation

Prime will pay for your transportation to our Springfield, MO; Pittston, PA; or Salt Lake City, UT location to start your orientation. Experience hands-on, computer-based, and simulator training before you get behind the wheel.

Step Four

Pass your CDL exam

Once your training is finished, you’ll return to a Prime training center to take your state CDL exam. Those who pass on their first try will receive a $250 bonus.

Step Six

Hit the road

Once your training is completed, you will be eligible for upgrade review (dependent on truck availability). Stay on as a company driver or choose to own your own truck and become an independent contractor. Your options are limitless.

Step one

Apply for the program & Obtain Permit

See if you meet the qualifications and start by applying for our driver training program. A recruiter will reach out to you to confirm your status and help you get started with your CDL training. Obtain your Class A Permit before orientation in your home state.

Step Three

Receive instruction

Work 1-on-1 with an instructor while you learn how to drive a semi truck. You’ll get practice with the necessary components of your CDL exam along with experience hauling freight.

Step Five

Complete your final training

After you pass your CDL exam, you’ll continue to train with a trainer for a minimum of 50,000 miles. Get experience hauling loads across the country while receiving a guarantee of $900 per week.
