One of the verses of the original lyrics was omitted - it was my favorite verse:
"Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come.
'Twas Grace that brought me safe thus far,
And Grace will lead me home."
A verse I consider essential to this song.

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir is generally hard to beat. The bagpipe lead-in is a little long and the only thing heard on the clip before buying, but since it was a MTC rendition, I purchased it anyway. The beautiful voices of the choir are overcome with the music. There are better choral renditions.

This song is done so beautifully - inspirational, hopeful, and as always the harmonies are right on. I don't have any appreciation at all for the Mormon religion, but I can't stay away from this choir!

An amazing version! This music really gets to your soul - especially when the bagpiper starts playing... WOW! It is worth owning and listening to again and again!

We needed some music for a very small funeral at the Hospice chapel when my father died. This was exactly what we were hoping to find.

This recording is excellent! It's 6 minutes and 25 seconds, quite long, too long to be a ringtone because it is a very large file. However, with sections with pure instrumental and passages of pure choral vocal, I edited the file into several different shorter pieces so have several great sounding ringtones.
