The story so far navy blue lyrics

Lyrics

I bet it hurts to read permanence. I used to think on all of this and how you don't. Damn it's hard to find sustenance when all I had was love for this and now you don't. Now I just abuse substances to drown out your accomplishments, however few. All of this frustrates me bad 'cause I can't stay mad at you or change anything that I had. She told me don't think like that, it's really not that bad. I hope this makes you sad I hope this makes you sad. If it's something serious then hit me up but until then the door is shut, forget my room. And if I had a match for every lie and every attempt to deny, I'd strike a few. I am the walls, the silent halls My jacket at your sisters wedding, navy blue. All of this frustrates me bad 'cause I can't stay mad at you or change anything that I had. She told me don't think like that, it's really not that bad. I hope this makes you sad I hope this makes you sad.

Oh Parker, who made you so sad? On a serious note his vocal range is great. Truly enjoyed this song and I'm thinking it'll be a good reflection of the entire album.

level 1

Wow this is even better than I expected, not that I was expecting it to be bad. I will be pre-ordering this as soon as it's up

level 1

Love that they're trying something new. Clean vocals with some more down tempo songs (not necessarily acoustic, just somber songs) on a new full length (along with they're normal style) would be awesome

level 1

Welp, that hit pretty close to home.

level 2

Fuuuuck, dude. Man-cry up in here.

level 1

Don't get me wrong, I adore TSSF, been listening to them for the longest time but... I just don't like this song. Didn't think that would happen, but ah well. Still super talented guys, just don't like this song.

level 2

Same here. I think it's because they set the acoustic song standard so high with 'Clairvoyant'.

level 2

Yeah i find it boring imo. Still nice hearing Parkers voice though, sick voice tbf.

level 2

I like the song, But usually I love their songs. I totally agree with the setting the bar so high with clairvoyant. The lyrics seemed like they didn't have as much thought or meaning into them, and seemed rushed in the sense they just wanted to release a song.

level 1

I honestly enjoyed this much, much more than "Clairvoyant." Love the feel. If this at all hints to the style of any full band stuff they're doing, then that's cool.

level 1

After listening to this I went back to look up 'Clairvoyant' again, only to realize that it was released almost exactly one year ago. Time flies by so fast.

level 1

This is excellent. I really hope they display a little more of this side of their music in their next album. I love their usual work, but I also love hearing them do something a little different.

level 1

This is just as heavy as any song off of What You Don't See. I don't understand how they do it, but god damn do they do it well.

level 2

Someone said it above but they reallly did set a high standard with clairvoyant. navy Blue sounds good but there nothing that made my hair stand like in clairvoyant.

level 2

Well the good thing is that they really only do acoustic stuff on EPs/splits. So if you don't like their acoustic songs, then you can still just look forward to the full-lengths

level 1

They really do Acoustic well. I'm loving this!

level 1

It's good, but I got to listen to it more to really get into it

level 1

This is just my opinion but I don't really dig how the vocals sound like they belong in a non acoustic tssf song.

level 1

I like the song, I seriously do. But the vocals aren't really doing it for me. I love that they are trying some new stuff and his vocal range is great, but I don't know. Something about it is off-putting.
