Worse stay EVER - Water was off Sunday morning was told it was a City problem and would be back in an hour. 4 hours later still not water and it was NOT a city problem but internal one. Had to leave with No Shower or water to brush teeth or go to the bathroom.

fantastic location, unmatched views!

The room provided wonderful respite from the grit and chaos of the city. We stayed in a room facing Times Square on the 61st floor for 4 nights and enjoyed the views immensely, especially during sunrise and sunset. The room felt very bright, clean and not grimy at all the way New York City hotel rooms so easily can. The bedding was very lightweight. While this was not an issue temperature-wise, I would have appreciated an extra blanket for comfort. The included breakfast buffet on the 3rd floor offered a very good variety of items (yogurt, fresh fruit, cold cereal, waffles, hot oatmeal [with toppings and mix-ins!], eggs, meats, bagels [with a variety of spreads, even Nutella!], pastries, juice, coffee/tea). Other reviewers suggested arriving early to breakfast, and I second this advice in order to avoid crowds and have the best selection. There are computers on both the 3rd and 4th floor available for easily printing boarding passes. Ambient noises in the room initially made sleeping a bit difficult, but the fan for the temperature control can be turned off. The fridge, while convenient for snack storage, was unusually loud too, but we figured out that it can be turned off by holding down the power button for about 10 seconds. Overall, an excellent stay.

Is it good to stay near Central Park?

It's a family-friendly neighborhood and more residential than some areas further downtown in New York City. You'll see plenty of young families and dogs walking around and spending time in the parks! The Upper East Side is very walkable, especially around Central Park.
