YETI XD™ Jeep Wrangler JL/JT Drag Links (2018+)
***NOTE*** A minimum lift height of 4.5-5" ( and correct bump stop) is required for a top-mount draglink. Minimum height requirements will vary by lift manufacturer - please contact us if you are unsure. Part #79022001 (Track Bar Relocation Bracket) is necessary when flipping your draglink - it maintains proper track bar and draglink geometry. For those running METAL CLOAK Lifts, we do not recommend a top mount draglink for their lift kits d/t interference issues.STEER SMARTS™ is proud to present the most EXTREME steering linkage for your Jeep JL Wrangler, “The YETI XD™ Series” linkage. We applied our 85 years of steering “lessons learned” to develop the strongest most durable linkage ever built for the Wrangler. Is a drag link the same as a tie rod?Drag Links (DLs) connect the steering gear and the pitman arm at one vehicle wheel. Tie Rods (TRs) connect the steering knuckles at the left and at the right wheel to transfer the steering forces.
What does a drag link do on a Jeep? The drag link in your steering system connects your pitman arm on your steering box to the steering knuckle or tie rod. As you move your steering wheel, the pitman arm moves, and thus allows you to steer your Jeep.
Can drag link cause death wobble?Inspect Your Suspension System: As previously stated, a common cause of the death wobble is an issue with your Jeep's suspension system—particularly the front track bar, ball joints, or drag link.
