Amazon has announced Amazon Day Delivery for Prime members exclusively which would allow the prime members get their products delivered on the day of their choice. The Prime Members will now get the option of choosing a weekly delivery day for the items they purchase throughout the week. Buyers will now get three options to choose from such as fast delivery, free shipping or Amazon Day Delivery during check out. Talking about the new feature for Amazon Day feature for Prime Members, Akshay Sahi, Director, Prime & Delivery Experience, Amazon India said, “‘Amazon Day Delivery’ is another example of how we have worked customer backwards to provide a sustainable, environmentally friendly shipping option to Prime members. With ‘Amazon Day Delivery’, members in India can plan their deliveries to suit their personal weekly schedule, and rest easy knowing that their orders will arrive safely on the same day each week. This service is an addition to the unlimited fast, free delivery benefits Prime members already enjoy. The Amazon Day Delivery beta saw adoption by over a million Prime members in India, and helped save thousands of boxes in shipping. We hope Prime members nationally love the program and contribute to the “Shipment Zero” vision of making deliveries carbon-neutral". The Amazon Day Delivery would be particularly useful if you have ordered multiple things on Amazon. All the products can now arrive on the same day if you choose the Amazon Day Delivery during checkout instead of arriving on different days. The buyers can also change their Amazon Day anytime to another day. Customers can then order throughout the week and get their items delivered for free on their chosen day of the week. But to get all of these, you need to be a Prime subscriber if you aren’t already. In the Amazon Prim subscription comes with a monthly fee of Rs 129. You can also buy the yearly package for Rs 999. If you are a Prim subscriber, you get access to free fast delivery, exclusive content Prime Video, Prime Music, 5 percent reward points, prime early access, gaming with Prime and other features. Most prepaid packs these days also come bundled with Prime subscription, so if you are not willing to buy the subscription plan separately. You can pick one of those prepaid plans that come with a free subscription to Amazon Prime. A woman recently shared an Amazon shipping hack that she said could get customers' orders delivered faster. A TikToker under the username Pretty Little DIY (@prettylittlediy) shared the hack with her followers on December 16. Already, the post has received more than 2 million views and over 97,000 likes. The full video can be viewed here. To alter the shipping speed, Pretty Little DIY said that customers must first view their order and click on the item they want to have delivered faster. Once that's been done, she said that Amazon will direct customers to a new screen that'll give them the option to "view or change" their order. Next, Pretty Little DIY showed viewers that they'll be taken to a third screen, where they can choose to "change shipping speed." Finally, she claimed that customers will be taken to a fourth and final screen, where they can select "FREE Prime Delivery [1 business day since shipped]" and save the new shipping speed. "Happy shopping," she concluded. In August of last year, Amazon expanded its same-day delivery option to six additional U.S. cities, bringing the total number of cities eligible for the service to 12. "To do so, Amazon invested in what it called 'mini-fulfillment centers' closer to where customers lived in select U.S. markets," reported TechCrunch. "Those customers could then shop across a dozen merchandise categories, including Baby, Beauty & Health, Kitchen & Dining, Electronics, Pet Supplies and more." According to TechCrunch, orders placed between midnight and 5 p.m. will arrive by 10 p.m. that same day. Anything ordered after 5 p.m. will arrive by 8 a.m. the following morning. Still, many customers are not eligible for same-day delivery. And many items in the online marketplace are not available for one- or two-day delivery, which is where Pretty Little DIY's hack might be able to help. Some viewers said they tried the hack and shaved days off their orders' expected delivery dates. "One of my husband's Christmas gifts went from being delivered on the 29th to the 21st because of you!! And I didn't pay any extra," commented TikTok user Stacia Hernandez. "A life saver. My husband's Christmas present wasn't going to be here until Christmas Eve [now] it's coming four days sooner," wrote Jordan Moore. Harmony1979 added: "I think I love you. Just changed delivery from the 23rd to the 18th. Thank you." Others, however, didn't have such luck. "Not one of my 10 orders gives [these] options and I have prime," said Amy Lipford-Carey. Aileen A. Perez commented: "It did not work for me, and I live next to a shipping facility." "Shipping details didn't come up," added Sabrina Lechnyk. According to some, the hack can only work on items that haven't already been shipped. "I was able to change it on the items that hadn't shipped yet but the ones that were already in transit didn't have that option, thanks!" shared Maria Lyon.
