The first set of numbers is the model number, indicating the cubic inch displacement, design series, crankshaft orientation, PTO bearing and starter type. To help you find the Model, Type and Code these numbers could be by the spark plug area, the starter motor area and if your engine is fitted to a ride on tractor, it could be on the casing which is fixed onto the left side of your engine. To help you find these numbers you will need a wire brush or scratcher and a torch.
