  • Knicks' Cam Reddish: Hoping for trade

    Rotowire Sep 1, 2022

Reddish prefers a trade due to a lack of playing time on the Knicks, Marc Berman of the New York Post reports. Reddish is entering his final season on his rookie deal, so he will be looking for a bigger role to secure a bigger contract this offseason. With the Knicks signing RJ Barrett to a long-term deal, Reddish would likely be bound for a similar role as last season, when he came off of the bench. The Lakers have been one team heavily linked in trade rumors to Reddish.

  • Knicks' Cam Reddish: Out for season

    Rotowire Mar 10, 2022

Reddish has been diagnosed with a separated right shoulder and will miss the remainder of the season, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. His recovery is expected to be in the six-week range, so he should have a healthy offseason. Reddish suffered the injury during the second half of Monday's win over the Kings. It's unfortunate timing for the young wing since he had finally started seeing consistent minutes. In the 11 games leading up to the injury, he averaged 7.0 points and 1.3 rebounds in 16.1 minutes. Next season will be Reddish's final year on his rookie-scale contract, so it comes with extra weight to perform well. In 20.7 minutes per game this season, he averaged 10.1 points on 8.3 shots, 2.1 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals. In his absence for the remainder of this season, more minutes could be in store for Immanuel Quickley and Miles McBride.

  • Knicks' Cam Reddish: Won't play Wednesday

    Rotowire Mar 8, 2022

Reddish (shoulder) has been ruled out for Wednesday's contest against the Mavericks. Reddish exited Monday's win over the Kings in the second half and never returned. He'll be sidelined for at least one additional contest, but it's unclear how severe the injury is. His next chance to suit up will come Friday in Memphis.

  • Knicks' Cam Reddish: Hurts shoulder Monday

    Rotowire Mar 8, 2022

Reddish exited in the second half of Monday's 131-115 win over the Kings with a right shoulder injury and didn't return, Fred Katz of The Athletic reports. Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau told the media afterward that Reddish hurt his shoulder when he fell hard to the floor while attempting to block a shot, but no further details were provided on the extent of the 22-year-old's injury. Before departing, Reddish provided two points (1-3 FG), three rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 16 minutes of court time. The Knicks return to action Wednesday in Dallas.

  • Knicks' Cam Reddish: Drops 17 off bench

    Rotowire Mar 7, 2022

Reddish provided 17 points (4-7 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 7-8 FT), two rebounds and one steal over 25 minutes during Sunday's 116-93 win over the Clippers. Reddish's workload has been a bit unpredictable since he arrived in New York, but he's settled into a consistent role off the bench over the last several games. Reddish's 17 points were by far his most in any game since coming over from Atlanta, and his 25 minutes of action were his most in any game since Jan. 5, when he was still a member of the Hawks. The 2019 lottery pick still has some longer-term fantasy appeal, but as of now he won't be worth much attention in season-long formats the rest of the way.

  • Knicks' Cam Reddish: Logs 23 minutes in loss Wednesday

    Rotowire Mar 2, 2022

Reddish totaled seven points (3-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 0-1 FT), two rebounds, two assists and two steals over 23 minutes during Wednesday's 123-108 loss to the 76ers. Reddish played 23 minutes in the loss, the most he has played since joining the Knicks back in late January. In fact, he has now played at least 15 minutes in three straight games, a sign that he could be slowly endearing himself to head coach Tom Thibodeau. Obviously, there is nothing to see here from a standard league perspective, but managers in deeper formats might want to just monitor his minutes moving forward.

  • Knicks' Cam Reddish: Available Monday

    Rotowire Feb 14, 2022

Reddish (ankle) is available for Monday's game against the Thunder, Fred Katz of The Athletic reports. Reddish was questionable for Monday's contest due to ankle soreness but has been cleared to take the court. He's averaged 6.5 points, 1.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 15.5 minutes over the past four games.

  • Knicks' Cam Reddish: Status iffy for Monday

    Rotowire Feb 13, 2022

Reddish (ankle) is questionable for Monday's contest against the Thunder. Reddish tweaked his ankle during Saturday's loss to Portland and was unable to return. If he's ruled out, Quentin Grimes, Alec Burks and Immanuel Quickley are all candidates for increased playing time.

  • Knicks' Cam Reddish: Questionable to return

    Rotowire Feb 12, 2022

Reddish is questionable to return to Saturday's game against the Trail Blazers due to a sore right ankle, Steve Popper of Newsday reports. Reddish went to the locker room, and it's not clear if he'll be back. If he remains out, he should tentatively be considered questionable for Monday's game against the Thunder.

  • Knicks' Cam Reddish: Effective off bench Thursday

    Rotowire Feb 11, 2022

Reddish contributed 12 points (4-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three assists and two steals across 19 minutes during Thursday's 116-114 victory over the Warriors. Reddish played more than 15 minutes for the first time since joining the Knicks and made his presence felt, both as a scorer and as a defensive asset. Knowing Tom Thibodeau loves players who can contribute on both ends of the court and acknowledging Reddish has left his injury woes behind, it wouldn't be surprising if he starts playing more minutes sooner than later.

  • Knicks' Cam Reddish: Light run in team debut

    Rotowire Jan 23, 2022

Reddish (ankle) played five minutes in Sunday's 110-102 win over the Clippers, providing two points (1-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and two rebounds. Even with Kemba Walker (knee) sitting out the front end of the back-to-back set and with Mitchell Robinson (ankle) missing the entire second half, head coach Tom Thibodeau couldn't find meaningful minutes for Reddish in the 22-year-old's team debut. The Knicks may have been deliberately limiting Reddish in his first game in two weeks due to an ankle injury, but he might not see his playing time pick up dramatically from here. As was the case during his time in Atlanta, Reddish is competing with several players for minutes on the wing in New York and won't be assured a meaningful role off the bench.

  • Knicks' Cam Reddish: Cleared for team debut

    Rotowire Jan 23, 2022

Reddish (ankle) is available for Sunday's game against the Clippers. Reddish considered probable with a right ankle sprain and is set to debut for New York after being acquired from Atlanta on Jan. 13. The 22-year-old averaged 11.9 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.0 steals in 23.4 minutes with the Hawks this season.

  • Knicks' Cam Reddish: Probable Sunday

    Rotowire Jan 22, 2022

Reddish (ankle) is probable for Sunday's game against the Clippers. Reddish has been hopeful that he'll be able to make his team debut Sunday, and he said Saturday that he's fully healthy after missing the last five games with a right ankle sprain. It's not yet clear what role he'll play with the Knicks after being traded from Atlanta in mid-January, but he could have a minutes restriction if he's ultimately available Sunday.

  • Knicks' Cam Reddish: Hopes to play Sunday

    Rotowire Jan 22, 2022

Reddish (ankle) said Saturday that he hopes to play Sunday against the Clippers, Fred Katz of The Athletic reports. Reddish has been sidelined since Jan. 9 due to a sprained right ankle, and coach Tom Thibodeau said that the 22-year-old was on track to miss extended time after being traded from Atlanta to New York in mid-January. However, Reddish said Saturday that he's fully healthy, and he could be available to make his debut with his new club just over a week after being traded. If he's ultimately available Sunday, it wouldn't be surprising to see the Knicks ease him back into action following his five-game absence, but he'll attempt to carve out a role with the Knicks after he averaged 11.9 points and 2.5 rebounds in 23.4 minutes per game across 34 appearances with Atlanta to begin the year.

  • Knicks' Cam Reddish: Will be out for extended period

    Rotowire Jan 14, 2022

Coach Tom Thibodeau said Friday that Reddish (ankle) is expected to be out "for a while" but declined to give a specific timetable, Greg Joyce of the New York Post reports. Reddish was traded from the Hawks to the Knicks on Thursday in exchange for a 2022 first-round pick and Kevin Knox, but it doesn't appear as if the 2019 first-round pick will be debuting for his new team anytime soon. The 22-year-old appeared in 34 games with Atlanta to begin the year and averaged 11.9 points and 2.5 rebounds in 23.4 minutes. When he is healthy, it's unclear what type of role he will play for New York, but he'll likely have to compete for bench minutes with the likes of Obi Toppin, Immanuel Quickley and Quentin Grimes before he's fully integrated into the rotation.

  • Knicks' Cam Reddish: Traded to New York

    Rotowire Jan 13, 2022

Reddish (ankle) was traded from the Hawks to the Knicks on Thursday in exchange for a 2022 first-round pick and Kevin Knox, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Reddish has been dealing with an ankle injury for the last week and was forced to sit out Wednesday against Miami. However, he'll attempt to carve out playing time in New York once he's healthy. The 22-year-old appeared in 34 games with Atlanta to begin the year, and he averaged 11.9 points and 2.5 rebounds in 23.4 minutes per contest. His next chance to suit up will be Saturday against his former team, when the Knicks take on the Hawks.

  • Hawks' Cam Reddish: Out as expected

    Rotowire Jan 12, 2022

Reddish (ankle) is out Wednesday against the Heat, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. As expected, Reddish will sit out with a sprained right ankle. In his absence, Kevin Huerter and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot could see more minutes.

  • Hawks' Cam Reddish: Downgraded to doubtful

    Rotowire Jan 12, 2022

Reddish (ankle) has been downgraded to doubtful for Wednesday's game against Miami, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports. Reddish has been bothered by his right ankle over the last couple of games, and he most recently tweaked it early in Sunday's loss to the Clippers, limiting him to just three minutes of action. He was initially listed as questionable, but after another evaluation at shootaround, it's looking as though Reddish will likely be held out Wednesday.

  • Hawks' Cam Reddish: Questionable Wednesday

    Rotowire Jan 11, 2022

Reddish (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game against Miami. Reddish aggravated his previous injury during Sunday's loss to the Clippers, as the official diagnosis is a sprained right ankle. If the forward ultimately can't play Wednesday, Lou Williams and Delon Wright will likely see increased run versus the Heat. Reddish has missed a total of five games so far this year.

  • Hawks' Cam Reddish: Done for day

    Rotowire Jan 9, 2022

Reddish (ankle) won't return to Sunday's game against the Clippers. Atlanta has yet to provide an announcement on the severity of Reddish's right ankle sprain, but it's not an ideal development after the same injury kept him from playing in the Hawks' Jan. 3 loss to Portland. He produced no statistics over his three minutes on the court before exiting Sunday. Consider him day-to-day in advance of the Hawks' next gam Wednesday against the Heat.
