Essential federal credit union plaquemine routing number

A routing number is a 9 digit code for identifying a financial institution for the purpose of routing of checks (cheques), fund transfers, direct deposits, e-payments, online payments, and other payments to the correct bank branch.

Routing numbers are also known as banking routing numbers, routing transit numbers, RTNs, ABA numbers, and sometimes SWIFT codes (although these are quite different from routing numbers as SWIFT codes are solely used for international wire transfers while routing numbers are used for domestic transfers).

Routing numbers differ for checking and savings accounts, prepaid cards, IRAs, lines of credit, and wire transfers. All banks usually have separate routing numbers for each of the states in the US.

You can look for the routing number on the check (cheque book) issued by your credit union or can search this website for free.

If I had my way I would have selected 0 for my rating. My son had fraudulent activity on his account back in Sept 2019. No one had the courage, respect or competence to contact myself nor my son with a follow up on the findings of the fraudulent investigation. The money was originally put back into his account, but placed on hold. The checking account was closed, leaving only the savings account open. Multiple in-person attempts have been to rectify this matter and promising were made for follow-up correspondents; EPIC FAILURE. Attempted to contact bank last week, bank attendant promised a follow-up call within 30mins, as usual to verify additional information, because the hold may be released today. GUESS WHAT?? SURPRISE!!! NO RETURN CALL, NO ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THE INVESTIGATION VIA CALL, TEXT, NOR EMAIL, NO PLAN OF ACTION; NOTHING!!!! AT THIS TIME I AM Disgusted, Frustrated and Disappointed in this Banking Institution. So, I decide to check my sons account later on that night, because no one seems to know how long is 30 minutes even after make another promise that they would get back in touch with me. However, the credit union did withdraw the moneys that were on hold completely out of his account with no explanation. I have asked to speak with the branch manager a couple of times, but was never connected to one obviously, I was connected to the person handling the situation. Am I ****** yes of course I am. I really want to add names at this point. All I was asking for was for someone to say something. I can't get connected to those people who would say something so, here I am. I want everyone to know it’s almost September again and no resolution. I would never give a reference, or referral, again to this Credit Union, because it seems as though this is a minor matter to them, it is a major matter to me.

Routing Number? Please Explain This To Me Like I'm Five.

It is a number issued by the American Bankers Association that identifies the individual bank in question. It has a few different names, such as Routing Transit Number and American Bankers Association number. In order to do business in the US, all US banks must have a routing number.

Why does a bank need a routing number?

First, they need it because the law requires it. Second, they need it for practical logistical reasons. It is used to route money transfers, such as check payments or direct deposits. Without it, they are dead in the water and cannot move funds.

Where can I find this on my checks?

The routing number can be found at the bottom of the check. It may precede or follow the checking account number. This same line will also contain the check number for the check in question. These three pieces of information are needed to give each check full and unique identification for purposes of moving money between accounts.

Where do I find routing number?

You can find your routing number in the bottom left corner of a check.

What is a routing number for a bank?

A routing number is a nine-digit code used by financial institutions to identify other financial institutions. It's also known as an RTN (routing transit number) and an ABA (American Bankers Association) routing number. Combined with your account number, it allows institutions to locate your individual account.
