Can you use woolite on regular clothes

Although this product calls itself "hypoallergenic" it has a light scent which may be bothersome to some, and there are reports of some allergic reactions.

On the other hand, this is also one of the most popular brands of laundry soaps designed for delicate washing, and also one of the easier varieties found in stores.

Here are some of those reviews:

Brittany says:

I love Woolite. There is no two ways around it. Woolite is the only detergent that I trust to wash my clothes.

I use it to wash my hand washable undergarments in the sink. I also use it in my washing machine.

Woolite is amazing for cleaning clothes as it doesn’t stretch or fade clothes the way that other detergents do even in the regular washing machine.

Most of the clothes that I own were quite expensive and to me it seems foolish to wash your expensive clothes in anything other than the best as the detergent will more than pay for itself in the cost savings associated with not having to replace clothing as frequently.

Woolite isn’t as good at removing tough stains the way that other detergents are that are harsh on clothes, but if you catch a stain early and apply an equal mixture of Woolite and water onto the stain and use a toothbrush to massage the stain and work it out then almost all stains are removed.

Taylor says:

Thanks Brittany for your Woolite delicate fabric wash review.

In addition to washing your clothes with a mild detergent, such as Woolite, make sure you wash anything on the delicate cycle of your washing machine, in cool or warm water, that is not heavily soiled, so that there is less wear and tear on your clothes. This will also keep them looking good longer.

Since All Versions Of Brand Are Safe For Delicates Do We Really Need The Extra Delicate Care?

by Taylor

Can you use woolite on regular clothes

I have been trying out a bunch of delicate washes recently, and one on the top of everyone's list is always Woolite's version.

At least in my house that is what I grew up with, and frankly I didn't know until I was an adult that there were even other choices for washing your unmentionables.

The thing is, recently Woolite has expanded its detergent line, and now they have stuff you can wash all your clothes in, all the time. (Here's my review of Woolite Everyday which I tried on my clothes.)

I carefully read the instructions on the Everyday version, and it says it is safe for delicates, including for wool and silk, for example.

So, this begs the question -- what is the point of buying what they call "Extra Delicate Care" formula? It doesn't do anything special that the other version of detergent doesn't do, and it costs a LOT more for a small amount. They sell the bottle with only 8, yes 8 washes in it!

This brand is very expensive in general, and it just seems like this version is just a waste of money because of the other kinds of detergent also available from the same company.

Now, after going off on that rant I will say that you can hand wash delicates with this version, although I think you could with the Everyday version as well, so I'm not sure that is a huge benefit or not.

I'd love insight from even more people telling me if they've abandoned this version of the product for other varieties, or if you love a different delicate wash more instead. You can share your reviews and experiences here.

I'm Done With Woolite To Wash My Delicates Because Of Allergies

by SR101 Reader

Can you use woolite on regular clothes

I have used Woolite for years.

Last July I started itching- 8 months later I'm still itching.

I've been to the Dr. He suggested it was my laundry detergent, but I haven't changed anything, so I thought it couldn't be it.

In the meantime- I'm changing deodorant, and other things.

I told my daughter recently how I use Woolite for my delicate cycle so she went and bought some and started using it. Guess who is also itching now?

We are both done with this product.

By the way way, I've never had allergies like this before to anything else.

Woolite Delicate Wash Review - Makes My Clothes Last Longer And Look Better

by Kris
(Wilmington, NC)

Can you use woolite on regular clothes

Kris has provided her Woolite delicate wash review.

Kris says:

Lately I have noticed my lacy tank tops and undergarments have been pilling and fading. They also haven't been lasting as long.

I discussed this with my friend Margie and she could not believe that I put them in what she calls, "the regular wash!" I took her advice and purchased a bottle of Woolite which was relatively inexpensive.

Since I have been using Woolite I find that my delicate clothes are softer, brighter, and are not wearing out as quickly as they were before. It is not a hassle to use as I already separate my laundry loads and I adore the rich, creamy, and delicious smelling soap.

I also have had a raised red and itchy rash on my arms which started about three months ago. Since I started buying Woolite I noticed it was not as dry or irritated as it had been in the past.

To do a test I started washing all my laundry, not just my delicates, in Woolite. One month later and I no longer have a rash!

Woolite is not just gentle on clothing, it is gentle on skin as well.

Taylor says:

Thanks Kris for your Woolite delicate wash review.

It sounds to me like you were suffering from some type of laundry detergent allergy, when you experienced that rash, so I'm glad you found a product that works well for you.

You may want to check out the whole list of hypoallergenic laundry detergents if you start to have trouble again.

To keep your delicate clothing looking good longer it is definitely a good idea to use a mild laundry detergent, such as Woolite. Also, make sure you wash your clothing in the delicate cycle of your washing machine, and in cool water to help reduce fading and shrinking. Finally, do not dry your delicates in the dryer, but instead let them air dry.

So, does anyone else use Woolite detergent? If so, you can share your Woolite laundry detergent review here.

In addition, if you use a different delicate wash for your clothing, you can share your delicate wash review here, of any brand, telling me how it has worked for you, good or bad.
