Brooklyn Nine-Nine returns tonight, Thurs., Feb. 6, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC with a double episode that airs at 8:30 p.m.

The show picks up where it left off in the season six finale. Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher) has been demoted to the lowest role in the police department – beat cop – by his archnemesis Commissioner Wuntch (Kyra Sedgwick). He has to be a street cop for a year and is less than thrilled with his new partner Debbie Fogel (Vanessa Bayer). Bayer will appear in several episodes this season.

Jake (Andy Samberg) has to adjust to being a higher position than his former supervisor and a new captain (Hong Chau). He also leads a manhunt to catch who attempted to assassinate a city councilor.

In episode two, the new captain invites the squad over her house to dinner to try to get to know them better.

There will be a total of 13 episodes in season seven. The show has already been renewed by NBC for an eighth season.
