This is the best one among all the "American Pie" movies. The first 20 minutes of the movie is very funny.

It's okay if you want to see some titties, but the humor doesn't rise above the level of puke-jokes.

This isn't the same as what you will get with the original cast, but this is still a fun movie. It has all the typical guy movie qualities; beer, babes, and boobs. To add to that, it has a good storyline and excellent humor. It is Animal House meets Revenge of the Nerds, done in the American Pie style. Something really fun to watch.

2.0 out of 5 stars American Pie: Beta House

The jokes are wearing thin and the plots are all the same, but at least this film has some of the same cast as the previous American Pie spin-off. Still, it's not really that good, and might be okay for a few chuckles where you won't actually chuckle out loud, but otherwise this isn't worth watching unless you're a fan of the American Pie movies.
Or you own a box set or something...
3.0 out of 5 stars Nothing special

It's true what they say about the American Pie series. With each instalment they bring out, there is a decrease in true comedy and much more a feeling of softcore porn. Beta House is no exception. After the flop of Stifler's (the original Steve Stifler's) brother in Band Camp, The Naked Mile became much more believable as a story and with better acting, and very much the same
cast are used for Beta House.
Although there are no stand-out performances from any of the actors, it is still good enough. As ever, Eugene Levy is very entertaining as Noah Levenstein and the use of his character in this film is a lot better than Band Camp, although much the same as the Naked Mile. The general direction is good andeasy on the eye so kudos to Gerald Packer for that.
As for the storyline and comedy you come to expect (although as I mentioned, less and less as the series
goes on) the standards are acceptable. American college frat rivalries are portrayed well, although perhaps rather extremely and college life is made to look very enjoyable indeed. The humour is a bit cheesier than before and at times, somewhat predictable but there are a few moments that encourage a good chuckle, for example when Erik Stifler moves in.
If you enjoyed The Naked Mile then you would enjoy this film. However, if you, like me, much preferred the first 3 installments up to and
including the wedding of character Jim then this film may be very hit and miss although, despite being rated as an 18, this film is deffinitely aimed at the more immature, male film watchers. Put simply, women over the age of 30 are unlikely to enjoy this film anywhere near as much as say, a 15 year old boy.
Therefore, unless you like me are a devout American Pie fan (yes, I genuinely do love the series) then I would seriously consider what other options are available in the comedy (or indeed
adult) genres before purchasing this film.
3.0 out of 5 stars American Pie: Beta House review

I was greatly anticipating the release of this year's direct-to-DVD American Pie film. As I had liked "Naked mile" but disliked "Band Camp" I wondered how this would fare. I would rate this somewhere between the two. Some parts were genuinely funny but I sometimes felt the story was a little predictable and there weren't as many laugh-out-loud moments as in the first three films+naked mile.
The story is basically about a bunch of guys who go through trials to get into the Beta fraternity. After some trouble with the Geek fraternity, they end up being challenged by the geeks for their house to end their feud once and for all. If you don't know...you can probably guess what happens next...
I was slightly disappointed that the film did not come with any extras but then again, it didnt matter too much. The film was fairly good and if anything, instead of a purchase, I would rent it. For fans of the series, its probably worth the purchase.
Overall, I give it a 6/10. If there had been extras, it could have been a 7.
3.0 out of 5 stars Alright way of passing the time - beware DVD issues

A bit of a Ronseal-type film, in that it delivers on its promises of a lot of boobs and drinking whilst the plot is fairly light (almost nonexistent in fact!).
One assumes Eugene Levy must have had literally nothing else to do except pop in an appearance for every American Pie spinoff going. After his brief showing in 'Band Camp', he inexplicably shows up to umpire the games between the rival frats.
It's a pleasant enough 90 minute distraction but probably doesn't stand up to repeat viewings. If you want topless women and no plot you could always flick on the Playboy channel's 10 minute teaser.
Word of warning - the DVD quality was abysmal and would often skip in places, even though the disc was in its unopened plastic sleeve. I had to return mine twice. It's not dual sided so I wonder where the problem is?
5.0 out of 5 stars American pie: Beta House - brilliant

Received the item within the timescale given via e-mail & it came just as described, the packaging was very protective of the dvd & the DVD it's self was in immaculate condition, there was no scratches on the disc and no wear or tear on the case, I very rarely use any other seller as I find the items I purchase from Zoverstock are very much watchable, I've ordered 50+ DVDs from them and I've NEVER had to return or complain about a single one Xxx
