I have heard that it is under the manifold but that really doesn't help me. I cant seem to find a chiltons or haynes manual anywhere in town that shows pics of the engine so if anyone has a pic or diagram or something very specific about the PCV valve location it would be greatly appreciated. 09-22-2010, 03:19 PMJoin Date: Jan 2006 Location: Aberdeen, MD Posts: 3,183 your not going to find a chiltons or haynes manual anywhere for the 3 there is only the service manual from mazda.

It's available from Amazon for about $17. CAUTION...this manual does NOT cover supercharged engines. Hope this helps...virg Last edited by Virgil Howarth; 02-24-2012 at 07:49 PM. 03-22-2012, 12:54 AMJoin Date: Mar 2012 Posts: 1 i noticed that the thread was pertaining to the placement of the PCV valve on a 2.3 lit motor. i have the 2.0 and am looking for the PCV valve and cant seem to find it. looking at the diagram that is pictured above my set up seems to look slightly different. Should I clean or replace PCV valve?Car manufacturers suggest that PCV valves be cleaned or replaced after somewhere between 20,000 to 50,000 miles of driving. Consult your owner's manual to see where the PCV valve is located on your vehicle and what the recommended service intervals are.
Where are PCV valves located? The PCV valve, as you can probably guess, is located on the crankcase. The crankcase is the lowest part of a vehicle's engine. It houses the crankshaft and the engine oil. The crankshaft connects to the pistons that power the engine.
When should I replace my PCV filter? Then most common part of the PCV valve that needs replacing is the filter. This filter is what catches the toxic fuel before it is able to do any damage to your vehicle. This filter needs replacing at least every 60,000 miles, though it is worth noting that many mechanics recommend you do this sooner.
