Decent product.....really nice option to purchase matching door lock cyls and have matching keys. How do you remove the ignition lock cylinder on a Chevy Silverado?Take your screwdriver and insert it into the ignition lock cylinder. Turn it as far round in a clockwise direction that you can. Then pull the paperclip to the right as much as you can. You should then be able to slide the switch out easily.
How do you remove the ignition lock cylinder on a Chevy Silverado without the key?Use a flathead screwdriver to try to turn the lock. If you can't turn it, drill through it with the power drill. Depress the ignition catch with a thinner Torx screwdriver, and pull out the cylinder.
Can you replace ignition cylinder without key?You do not need a key to remove a car ignition cylinder. You will need to find an alternate way to rotate the device into the accessory position or otherwise depress the cylinder retention pin.
