If your Samsung Galaxy phone vibrates for no apparent reason, this guide will help you fix it. Samsung’s phones are insanely beautiful, prized for build-quality, have the fastest processor, the most RAM, the most storage, the best display, and the well-polished Android skin, but that doesn’t mean these devices are free from glitches and shortcomings.
After a recent update, many Samsung Galaxy phone users are complaining about an odd behavior on their device. Their Galaxy phone starts vibrating randomly as if a notification, but actually, there was no new notification on their device.
This issue isn’t just affected a particular series of devices. It arises on different Samsung Galaxy phones, such as Galaxy M30s, Galaxy A50, etc. run One UI. If your Samsung Galaxy phone vibrating for no apparent reason, there is a temporary fix for it.
Fix for Galaxy Phone Vibrating Randomly as if a Notification
Install the Nice Catch app from the Galaxy app store (link) on your Galaxy phone (require One UI – Android 9/10). The app will start logging all vibrations. Now, follow the below steps to identify the app or the system process that makes vibration on your Galaxy device and fix it.
- Open the Nice Catch app and tap on Vibration history.
- It will display all apps that triggered vibration on your Galaxy device.
- Once you identify the app causing vibration, either you can disable vibration from notification settings or uninstall the app.
- To disable vibration on Galaxy phone, go to Settings > Notifications > App notification > Notification category > disable Vibrate.
FYI, Samsung will fix the random vibration issue of your Galaxy phone with a software update. In the meantime, you can use the Nice Catch app to fix the issue.

Turns out the culprit was a feature called “Notification Reminders.” Here’s how to turn it off and reclaim your sanity.
Turn Off Notification Reminders On Samsung Phones
To turn off Notification Reminders, follow these steps:
- Go into your phone’s Settings
- Tap on Notifications
- Tap on Advanced Settings, found a lower on the screen
- In Advanced Settings, scroll down to Notification Reminders and turn it OFF
- Done!
If you want to use this feature for certain apps only, you can tap on Notification Reminders directly to enter into its settings, then specify which apps you would like to take advantage of this feature. You can also specify how frequently you would like reminders. I find it way too annoying to use, so it’s permanently off on my phone.
