Less Time, Less Material, More Savings

time-consuming step of adhering a membrane to a backer board – it’s already done!
• The innovative fleece weave of the Triton Waterproof Backer Board membrane requires less mortar to achieve optimal tile adhesion
• Unlike other cement boards, Triton Waterproof Backer Board is quick and easy to work with: it’s lightweight, requires no special tools, and can be cut using the “score and snap” method
I was watching some YouTube videos and saw some guys using Triton board for a tile install. It appears to be designed like Kerdi but it's half the price. I'm generally iffy on new products in this line of work with so much liability. Just curious if any of you have used it and what your experience is?
I'd really like to get away from cement board due to the weight and overall health risk over time. My mentor is of school and doesn't think attaching tile to "Styrofoam" will last long. I'll be fully on my own within a year when he retires and I'm eager to try new products that extend my body's ability to enjoy my career far longer lol.
Two High Performance Materials. One Watertight Board.

Tips on Floor and Wall Tile
Looking for tile? Shop at Lowe’s to find what you need.
One of the first steps as you tackle a floor tile or wall tile project is tile selection. As you shop, consider the qualities of different kinds of tile. You can add character to any room by choosing from our wide selection of small travertine tile, mosaic tile or stacked stone tile for your kitchen or bathroom walls. In the living room, fireplace tile is a great way to make your fireplace stand out. If you’re looking for an attractive, durable flooring option, consider porcelain or wood-look tile.
No matter what type of tile you’re preparing to install, make sure it’s moisture-resistant and can stand up to the needs of your space.
Tile and Accessories for Every Project
Need some new bathroom tile ideas for a remodel? On
the hunt for grout to completely smooth away unsightly tile cracks or crevices? The right tile and tile accessories can take a lackluster kitchen or bathroom from grungy to gorgeous. Upgrade any space with one of our durable, attractive floor and wall tile options, including

For new construction, consider purchasing tile in bulk. A
peel-and-stick option — such as peel-and-stick subway tile — can be a great choice for easier installation.
You’ll complete your next project much faster if you use the right tiling tools. Pick up a new trowel for
smoother grout application. Easily remove gunk from old tile floors with a quality grout cleaner.
