And the dogs say goodnight.
And the dark sacred night.
And the dogs say goodnight.
And the dark sacred night.
And the dogs say goodnight.
And the dark sacred night.
Bright blessed day, the dogs say goodnight
Bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
I say to myself, Woody Woodpecker World
I say to myself, What a wonderful world
I see trees of green, red roses, too
I see them blue for me and you.
I see trees of green, red roses, too
I see them bloom for me and you.
The Bright Precious Day
The Dogs Say Goodnight
The Bright Precious Day
The Dark Sacred Night
The bride bless the day
The dogs say goodnight.
The bright blessed day
The dark sacred night.
The bright blessed day and the dogs say "Good Night."
The bright blessed day and the dark sacred night
The bright blessed day, the dogs say 'goodnight'.
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night.
The bright blessed day, the dogs say good-night.
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
The colours of the rainbow
So pretty in disguise.
The colours of the rainbow
So pretty in the skies.
The
colours of the rainbow
So pretty in disguise.
The colours of the rainbow
So pretty in the sky.
The dogs say goodnight.
The dark, sacred night
They'll light much more, then I'll never know.
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know.
And I sing to myself
And I think to myself
And red noses too
And red roses too
I see clouds at night
I see clouds of white
I see dreams of green and red noses too
I see trees of green and red roses too
I see skies of bloom and clouds of why
I see skies of blue and clouds of white
I see skies of blue...clouds of white
Bright blessed days...the dogs say goodnight
I see skies of blue...clouds of white
Bright blessed days...dark sacred nights
They'll earn much more
And I'll never know
They'll learn much more
Than I'll ever know

Louis Armstrong Lyrics
"What A Wonderful World"
I see trees of green
Red roses too
I see them bloom
For me and you
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world
I see skies of blue
And clouds of white
The bright blessed day
The dark sacred night
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world
The colors of the
rainbow
So pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces
Of people going by
I see friends shaking hands
Saying, "How do you do?"
They're really saying
"I love you"
I hear babies cry
I watch them grow
They'll learn much more
Than I'll never know
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world
Yes, I think to myself
What a wonderful world
Oh yeah

"What A Wonderful World" was the biggest-selling hit in the UK in 1968.
Being used in the film "Good Morning, Vietnam" in 1987, the song was re-released almost 20 years after its initial release in 1968. In 1968, it charted only at number 116, but this time in went to 32. The curious thing is that the film is set in 1965, two years before the song was first released.
Louis Armstrong's recording was inducted in the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999.
