Indy is out of the greatly successful "Castlemar" lines and the coveted, classic, healthy "Sylvancrest" lines.  Per "Majesty Cavaliers:"

Sylvancrest Cavaliers was established 30 years ago when Kristine Ehlert spent months visiting England's old established kennels to find the "best of the best" for our foundation stock. They are the Kindrum and Homerbrent, which are the healthiest bloodlines, world renown for longevity, beauty and temperament.

Kristine spent years showing throughout the USA and Canada and breeding to perfect the bloodlines. Kristine was involved in founding CAVALIERS OF THE WEST in the CKCS Club and served as Vice-President.

A Sad Footnote; When Kristine's beloved 15 year old tri color, Sylvancrest Bronte, passed on, she was devastated and said she had nothing left to live for. I drove to her home and brought her Angel, a young Blenheim girl, to keep her company in her grief. My last sight of her was holding Angel in her arms, smiling thru her tears. That night, Kristine passed away, Angel by her side. Her ashes and Bronte's were scattered at sea, together forever.

Indy's incredible sire, Ollie.

The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel wears his connection to British history in his breed’s name. Cavaliers are the best of two worlds, combining the gentle attentiveness of a toy breed with the verve and athleticism of a sporting spaniel.

Cavaliers are suitable for a diverse range of age groups and lifestyles as well as being highly compatible with other animals.

This gorgeous breed is easygoing, tolerant and resilient, making it a fantastic first pet! Cavaliers are extremely affectionate, friendly and excellent with children and other pets. They are lively and affectionate companions that enjoy being included as part of the family. Although Cavaliers are quite active dogs they do cope well with smaller homes with little to no yard when they are walked regularly. Cavaliers are ‘perpetual puppies’, they are always excited to play and will never turn down a game of fetch!

Size and Colouring

A great deal of variability can occur amongst pups of the same breed, variation amongst the litter is influenced by the genetic contribution of each parent. Therefore, it is impossible to predict the exact size a pup will grow to, but they will be a relatively small sized dog weighing approximately 5-8kg and reaching 30-33cm in height. Cavalier colours also vary in each litter, with the possibility of anything from black and tan, blenheime (chestnut and white), tri-colour (black, white and tan) or ruby.

Maintenance and other needs

Cavaliers are a quite low maintenance breed. Cavaliers have relatively easy grooming requirements, with a regular brush (a few times a week) and baths when necessary. Their feathered ears and legs may need extra brushing to prevent knots. As Cavaliers are a floppy eared breed they require regular cleaning of ears depending on their lifestyle. It is recommended if the pups ears get wet that they are dried, if the pup goes swimming in a river or dam ears should be cleaned with a solution available at your local pet store. By introducing regular bathing, brushing and ear cleaning to your puppy at a young age it will be a much easier process later in life.

Another important thing to remember is that although Cavaliers have very hearty appetites it is important not to give in to those adorable puppy eyes and feed excessive amounts. Cavaliers are very intelligent dogs and among some of the easiest breeds to train. It is very important to socialise your new pup and the best way to do this is to attend puppy preschool. Puppy preschool not only teaches your dog obedience and opportunities to socialise but is also very educational for you, the owner.

These dogs love human companionship, from the day you bring your Cavalier puppy home.  The Cavalier is an enthusiastic dog that will love any form of attention, from trips to the dog park or sitting with the family.

What is the cheapest Cavalier King Charles Spaniel?

Cavalier King Charles Spaniels cost about the same as most small breeds. The average price is around $1,500 for a high-quality puppy from a recognized breeder. However, you can find them ranging from $1,000 to $2,500. Of course, where you purchase them from matters.

What is difference between King Charles and Cavalier King Charles?

The Cavalier is slightly larger, with a flat head and a longer nose, while the King Charles is smaller, with a domed head and a flat face. Historically the breeds that were merged into the King Charles Spaniel were used for hunting; due to their stature they were not well suited.

What problems do Cavalier King Charles Spaniels have?

Health. The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breed, which has an average lifespan of 9 to 14 years, may suffer from minor health problems such as patellar luxation, and entropion, or major problems like syringomelia, mitral valve disease (MVD), and canine hip dysplasia (CHD).

Can Cavalier King Charles live outside?

Because he's a spaniel at heart, he may try to chase birds, rabbits and other small prey if he isn't kept on leash or in a fenced yard. Cavaliers may bark when someone comes to your door, but because of their friendly nature, they aren't good guard dogs. Cavaliers are housedogs and should not live outdoors.
