The Pramerica Spirit of Community Awards
The 'Pramerica Spirit of Community Awards' is an annual nationwide search to identify and recognize school students who have made a positive difference in their communities through volunteer community service.
Introduced in India in 2010, this programme is an extension of ‘The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards,’ the largest youth recognition programme in the United States, conducted by Prudential Financial, Inc. (PFI) for the last 25 years.
Over the last 10 years, more than 45,000 students have participated in this initiative by sending in their applications and of them, around 850+ students have been recognized for their remarkable community service efforts.

Prudential Emerging Visionaries is a national recognition program created for young people as a platform to offer innovative solutions to societal and financial challenges facing their communities and the world. This award is a replacement for the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards, which lasted for 26 years and honored more than 150,000 students.
The program is a collaboration between Prudential financial and a leading social impact organization, Ashoka. Ashoka is dedicated to creating a network of changemakers and so they have partnered with Prudential to find young innovators.
The Emerging Visionaries program is looking for young people who are committed to building and changing a more equal and diverse society. The program offers $5,000 each to 25 winners with 20 of these winners are selected from the societal category and 5 from the financial solutions category. One winner from each category is eligible for a further $5,000 award.

How the Prudential Emerging Visionaries is Judged
Applicants will be assessed on their level of innovation in solving financial and social issues. Credit will be given for a deep understanding of the problem the applicant is trying to solve as well as the level of connection with the community of interest. Demonstrable quality change-making skills and leadership in solving problems are also key selection criteria.
