Mazda CX-5 - Video tutorial

Model: Mazda CX-5 MK 2 - Years 2017-2022
Part: Key
Operation: How to replace the remote control battery of the Mazda CX-5

In this video we will see the replacement of the remote control battery of the Mazda CX-5; this also applies to other contemporary models of the house, given the key of the same typology. Let's start by removing the cover with a pointed object (the one that hides the metal key, useful in case of emergency start-up or if you download the keyless remote control). Then we press on the edge of the metal frame to disengage it from its seat and open the other part of the remote control; the battery compartment is hidden under this cover; remove the plastic cap and replace it. The battery to be used is a 3V CR 2032.

If the new battery is working properly, you should see the parking lights flash, the LED headlights may turn on and you'll hear the door locks opening and closing.
