I didn't know if this should be in Business Wifi or connectivity but I am trying connectivity as that is where my issue is. I have been having an issue for a couple of months and after trying a few things can not find the answer. I am trying to connect to one of the many free xfinitywifi hotspots as I live near the center of town and there are many hotspots available. I am a Comcast Business customer.
There are two Xfinity hotspots available to access. One if XFINITY and the other is Xfinitywifi. Both my iPad and iphone is able to see the SSID of each and both can connect to these with no issues.
My laptop, on the other hand, is not able to see these SSID's anymore. The reason I say anymore is that I was able to see these before (end of last year) and connect to these with no issues. I have not changed anything on my laptop nor added or deleted any programs. I have reset my network card multiple times in the hopes that it would pick up the Xfinity hotspots. My laptop can see plenty of other networks around the area (my Ipad and Iphone see the exact same networks). For some reason though, my laptop will pick up all the other networks being broadcast except the Xfinity hotspots.
My network card in my laptop is a Realtek RTL8191SE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC. The network card drivers are up to date and I haven't changed any settings as once again everything worked fine until the start of this year. I am using Windows 10.

2) Restart Laptop
Another possibility that might be causing you to face this error is the possibility of having some bug or error on the Wi-Fi module. You can try out restarting the Wi-Fi on your laptop like toggling it on and off once and if that doesn’t work out for you as it should, you will need to restart the laptop once.
It is pretty simple and all you need to do is ensure that you are restarting the laptop once properly as it will reboot all the hardware and software components that you have on your laptop and you will not have to face any such problems on your laptop after that.
3) Check Wi-Fi Drivers
You might also be facing this problem with your laptop if your drivers are outdated and that is a serious concern. If your Wi-Fi drivers are not up-to-date, you will have to face all sorts of problems with your Wi-Fi connectivity and you will have to ensure that you are updating them to the latest version.
The best approach would be to delete the drivers and then download the latest version of Wi-Fi drivers from the website of your OEM. That is perfectly going to help you out with all such problems and you can easily connect your laptop with the Xfinity Hotspot.
4) Check Settings
There are also some settings that are often neglected and they might be the reason behind you not being able to connect over the Wi-Fi. You have to ensure that you are checking on all the settings and allow the laptop to be connected with the Wi-Fi networks having different security settings. This will definitely help you out in sorting out the problem with your Wi-Fi connectivity.
