I'll never love somebody I'll never need somebody I'll never hold
somebody I'll never love somebody Nunca vou
amar alguém Nunca vou precisar de alguém Nunca vou abraçar alguém Nunca vou amar alguémI'll Never Love
I'll never love somebody
Leave me cold
Trouble song in the moonlight
Will be my bride
I'll never need somebody
Leave me alone
A worried mind in the violence
Will be my guide
I'll never hold somebody
For very long
I make love but only for a night
And I'll be gone
I'll never love somebody
Leave me cold
The trouble song in the moonlight
Will be my bride
Will be my bride
Will be my brideNunca Vou Amar
Nunca vou amar alguém
Deixe-me frio
Canção dos problemas ao luar
Será minha noiva
Nunca vou precisar de alguém
Deixe-me em paz
Uma preocupada mente na violência
Será meu guia
Nunca vou abraçar alguém
Por um longo
tempo
Eu faço amor, mas apenas por uma noite
E vou embora
Nunca vou amar alguém
Deixe-me frio
A canção dos problemas ao luar
Será minha noiva
Será minha noiva
Será minha noiva

Michael Kiwanuka talks here of an inability to make an emotional connection. He penned the song during a particularly low and lonesome point. Kiwanuka told Q magazine: "I thought, 'Maybe I can't love anyone properly.' That's the saddest tune I've ever written."
The startling lyrical honesty marks the Love & Hate record. Kiwanuka told Q: "That brutal honesty, it's a bit addictive, it's like pure therapy. It's like if you've got a bad back and you go to a chiropractor and you realize how good it feels and you just want to keep clicking your back."
Asked by The Guardian what his fiancée thinks of such songs as this one, Kiwanuka admitted: "At first, I couldn't play songs like I'll Never Love. I would take them off the set list at gigs she was at, because they're dark, sad songs. But they've not got anything to do with our relationship – you can go to other parts of yourself, past times, old relationships."
