Once you have purchased the Charter Spectrum phone service, you can set up the voicemail service on your own. You’ll need either your home phone or any other available phone. The steps are very simple if followed carefully. Once activated, you can check your messages from any phone.

Set Up Spectrum Voicemail from your Home Phone

To set up your voicemail from your home phone follow these steps:

Dial *98 from your home phone
Now enter the last for digits of your home phone number (this is going to be your pin for now)
When asked, dial the permanent four-digit pin for your phone and press #, You may be asked to enter the same number again for confirmation purposes.
When asked, state your Name and then press #.

When you try to access your Voicemail messages, you are asked to enter your permanent PIN. In case you want to skip this step, you can do so by using Voice Zone. Follow these simple steps to skip entering your PIN:

Sign in to your account.
Now select the Phone Icon and you’ll be redirected to Voice Zone.
Now open Voicemail Settings and select Edit.
Select the Voicemail PIN settings options
Now check off the box stating PIN Skip
Now select Save Changes

To change your PIN:

Sign in to your account.
Now select the Phone Icon and you’ll be redirected to Voice Zone.
Now open Voicemail Settings and select Edit.
Select the Voicemail PIN settings options
Now select Change My Voicemail PIN and enter your new PIN
Now Save the changes you made

Listen to Spectrum Voicemail

Dial *98 from your phone and follow the instructions to listen to voicemail from your home phone
To listen to your voicemail from another device, sign in to your spectrum account > go to the Phone Icon > Now Select the Voicemail Tab > Now select the messages you wish to listen to.

Delete Spectrum Voicemail

If you want to delete a message from your phone once you have listened to it, simply dial 3.
To listen to your voicemail from another device, sign in to your spectrum account > go to the Phone Icon > Now Select the Voicemail Tab > Tap X to delete a message you want.

Readable Spectrum Voicemail

Readable Voicemail option transcribes your voicemails into a text message that you can receive via email or a text message on your mobile phone. However, these transcriptions are only of the initial 45 seconds of the message. For longer messages, you’ll have to go back and listen to the messages.

To set up readable voicemail, follow these steps:

Sign in to your account.
Now select the Phone Icon and you’ll be redirected to Voice Zone.
Now open Voicemail Settings and select Edit.
Now Select Readable Voicemail
Now check off the Transcribe my Voicemail Messages box
If you want to be notified via email, then enter your email address and press add button
If you wish to be notified via text message on your phone then choose your mobile service provider and enter your number and then click Add.
Don’t forget to save changes.

Save Spectrum Voicemail to your computer

To save your voicemail to your computer, use the following steps:

Sign in to your account.
Now select the Phone Icon and you’ll be redirected to Voice Zone.
Now open Voicemail Settings and select Edit.
Now open Voicemail Settings
Select Download
Now check off the audio file checkbox and click download
Once the download is finished open the file and save it wherever you want on your computer.

How do I activate my voicemail?
