I have an Edger with a B&S 475 Series Engine 148cc and no carburetor. Can someone give me a part number for the required carburetor? Derek

Will need the actual model number from the engine to assist. Depending on engine could be in various locations. From the area of the blower housing above the spark plug, to the flap above the muffler, to stamped into the block.

The engine is a Model# 093302, which calls for a Carburetor#795533. Unfortunately, all my research shows this carburetor is discontinued. Is there a cross match carburetor by chance?

Did you get any answers on this? I right now have the same piece of equipment in front of me. I do have a carb but it leaks. I replaced o ring, float, needle valve and seat, I just want a new carb at this point. I too have done lots of looking and have come up with a $50 replacement or discontinued.

Where is the part number on a Briggs and Stratton carburetor?

Where can I find my engine's part numbers?.
Your Briggs & Stratton engine part numbers can be found in your engine's Illustrated Parts Lists (IPL). ... .
The numbers listed next to the part illustrations in our IPLs are called Reference Numbers..

How do I find the model of my carburetor?

It's like a "VIN" for your carburetor and should be hand-stamped on the front of the choke tower to the right of the vent tube on most typical Holley carbs. The list number typically is four to six digits long and may or may not have a suffix number behind it.

Can you clean a Briggs and Stratton carburetor without removing it?

Use carburetor cleaner to remove deposits, clogs & debris Deposits inside the carburetor can clog fuel and air passages and reduce performance or stop the engine altogether. Luckily, you can take care of many of these problems quickly and easily; often without even removing the carburetor from the engine.
