Hi there i just got a 2006 4.7 L with 70,000 miles and wanted to change my sparks, what brand and model i should buy?:alf:

Based on what I've read, it is strongly recommended you stick to the suggested plugs. There
are too many possible consequences for trying to "upgrade", although some members are having good luck with certain brands. Stick to the OEM type.

just go buy 8 ngk v-power plugs there copper so there like oem i just put some in and love them gap at .44 i think someone can correct me but those are the plugs

I think my GC needs new spark plugs. It's about to turn 90K and I have not put plugs in since I bought it 3yrs ago with 60K and it's idling a little rough.
The manual calls for the old style Champion Copper Plus single electrode plug (rc12mcc4). Since mine is not a HO motor and is the flex (E85) model I was wondering if you've had a better experience using a different or "hotter" plug. I get good mileage as it is now, some times as much as 24MPG depending on conditions. Performance seems like it always has, pretty good.
I appreciate your input based on your experience with this engine.
A word or two about NGK & Champion plugs:
If you go to the NGK website and look up NGK plugs for your Jeep you will find that they list ZFR5N plugs for 1999 - 2001 Jeeps w/4.0 motors.
If you have an earlier Jeep (<99) you will see they list a FR5-1 plug. That is the wrong plug for your Jeep. FR5-1 plugs are for Chrysler and Dodge V8's.
You can use ZFR5N plugs in earlier 4.0's with no problem, as well as the Champion RC12LYC plugs. The ZFR5N plug is almost the same as Champion RC12ECC plug, the only difference being is the ZFR5N plug has a slightly cooler heat range than the RC12ECC plug. The RC12ECC plug is identical to the RC12LYC plug in having he same heat range, except that the RC12ECC plug has an improved design over the RC12LYC. Note the "CC" at the end of the RC12ECC plug number. This means Copper Copper. Copper Copper plugs have Nickle plated Copper ground electrodes and Nickle plated Copper center electrodes.
