This vacuum hose kit was designed and made exclusively for the 1991-2001 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 Liter 6-Cylinder. Made from our high quality silicone lines with thick durable walls, heat resistant molding and strong bends.
-Continuous length kit with instructions, vacuum hose
diagram and hose cutter.
-Replaces: All under hood vacuum lines including all those associated with the fuel injection system, cruise control, evap canister and the radiator overflow hose. It also includes two vacuum "T"s which are needed.
-500F heat resistance, I00 psi without collapsing under pressure.
-Makes I80 degree bends inside itself.

I quick glance through the FSM didn't yield many good pics, so these are from my '04 4.0. What's the issue with vacuum lines? Cruise control not working? Jeep will idle high about 950 randomly and map sensor from is being sporadic sometimes idling at 15inhg but other times only idling at 10 or

Much of the vacuum connections on the drivers side are for the EVAP/Purge system: But some of it ties into the intake manifold and if there was a leak would that not affect map sensor reading?

data? Are you getting a good 5v reference at the MAP, and is the signal back to the PCM between .5v and 4.5v?

If you open the hood and look up at the front edge of the hood there should be a sticker which shows the vacuum lines, spark plug info, etc. Here's the one from my 4.7L.

Just thought I'd mention on my 04 4.7 they moved most of the emissions controls back behind the rear driver's side wheel well cover. I didn't think they'd have a LDP (leak detection pump) with Fed emissions but they do and the 04 4.0 may be the same. Point is if you have a leak in one of the vacuum lines back there where the vapor canister is
which ties into the purge solenoid on the driver's side engine compartment inner fender it can affect the way the engine idles or runs. Know that for a fact since it's a favorite place for demon rodents to chew those hoses back there behind the bumper here in the woods. Good luck.

Is it absolutely necessary to disconnect the power while replacing an evap valve? I'm trying to get my drive cycle complete in order to get it smogged. If I disconnect the power, I will have to start over, and it's already been a long, drawn out process, due to unexpected circumstances. If that is a the case, and suggestions on an alternative, to
eliminate any power conflicts?

Oh wow, I think I just made have found the reason for the issues i m having, and that comes from the comment about rodents chewing. My heels has sat off and on for quite some time, and I found signs of a little visitor just before I started getting evap codes. . . Thanks Uni! I think you may have, once again, shed some light on this puzzle!

Glad to help Heartfulaluv and you'll have to tell us where you found the evap leak or post a photo? Unfortunately in living in the woods for 40+ years I'm quite familiar with Jeep or vehicle rodent/critter damage.
